Zach Lieberman
Light Beyond Vision
Zach Lieberman is an artist, educator, and creative coder whose work explores the poetics of computation and the immaterial qualities of light and perception. A professor at MIT’s Media Lab, he leads the Future Sketches group, investigating the expressive potential of code as a creative medium. A pioneer in creative coding, Lieberman is celebrated for co-creating OpenFrameworks and co-founding the School for Poetic Computation in New York. His recent work interrogates the paradox of code’s inability to see light, producing luminous abstractions that expand digital art into a meditation on presence, vision, and the unseen.
